Pagerank
It’s the index of popularity of a particular webpage worked out by Google, calculated according to a very sophisticated mathematical algorithm.
Paid Inclusion
It’s the advertising program where pages are guaranteed to be included in the directory’s index in exchange for payment, though no guarantee of ranking well is given.
Pay Per Click
This is an advertising option in which the advertiser has typically a small textual ad on a search engine site and he has to pay an agreed amount every time a user clicks to his website through a search engine.
Pop-up
It’s a web page which displays within a new, typically smaller web browser window rather than a currently active browser window. They are mostly used for promotions, ads, email newsletter invitations, survey invitations etc.
Portal
It stands for a web site that often serves as a one stop shopping destination. It typically provides services such as search, directory of web sites, news, entertainment, telephone directory information, area maps etc.
Page saturation
It’s the number of pages of your website which search engine recognizes.
Post-search ads
These are the advertisements that are served to web-site users upon their exit from a web site. They are based on the pages they looked at while navigating the site.
Protocol
It is used in certain structured chat rooms to refer to the order in which people may speak. It also refers to set of rules that govern information exchanged between computer systems.
