Domain cloaking
It’s a strategy that allows person to redirect users to your existing web page while maintaining your URL in the browser.
Dynamic web pages
Web pages that are created on the fly in response to specifics that is associated with a specific web site.
Doorway pages
It refers to web pages which are created just for spamming the index of a search engine by inserting results for particular phrases with the purpose of sending visitors to a different location. They are also known as bridge pages, portal pages, zebra pages, jump pages, gateway pages etc.
Default Page
This refers to the web page which loads when your URL is entered in the browser. Mostly this will be 'index.html', but on Windows IIS servers, it is often 'Default.htm' or 'index.htm'.Â
Dangling link
It’s a link to a page that contains no other weblinks.
Domain Parking Page
It refers to a free web page for new domain accounts to display after establishing a new domain name. A park page is used when a new domain registrant does not yet have a web site to link with the domain name. This page acts as a temporary home page or splash screen indicating that the domain is new and website is under development or coming soon.
Description Tag
An HTML tag used to describe the content theme of a web site for search engine and directory listings. This tag provides summary of your web page, which will be displayed after the title of your site in the listing. Â

Deep Linking
It refers to linking directly to an interior page on a website; usually anything other than the website's home page. It is typically used to provide shortcuts to information on deep internal pages that the author wants the user to have quick access.
Domain Squatting
It’s a controversial business practice of buying domain names that are desirable to specific people or businesses in the hope of making significant profit on its resale later.
Dead Links
It’s a link to a web page that does not exist on a web server.
