B2B (Business to Business)

It refers to the business that sells products or provides services to other businesses.


B2C (Business to Consumer)

It refers to the business that sells products or provides services to the end-user consumers.


Bot

It refers to software programs also known as crawlers of Search Engines that scan the pages across the web. They are also refers to the programs by spammers to harvesting e-mail addresses.


Backlinks

Backlinks are incoming links to any webpage. Backlinks are important for search engine optimization (SEO) because most SEs including Google, give more credit to websites that have high numbers of quality relevant backlinks.


Blog 

Simply online journal or "log" information on any given subject. Blogs are easy to update, manage, and syndicate. They are the publication of personal thoughts, experiences, and web links. Entries are mostly displayed in a reverse chronological order.


Bookmark

It’s a user-defined place mark that enables the user to return to a particular screen for future reference after accessing related information.


Black hat

It refers to the use of deceptive and unethical methods which are frown upon by search engines to artificially improve SERP placement. These techniques are the violations of SE Terms of Service and will get the person sites banned sooner.

 

Better Internet Bureau

Its an online, not-for-profit organization which is dedicated to making the Internet a safer place for people. Its member’s sites mostly display the Better Internet Bureau logo on their home page, assuring visitors that the site has been reviewed and is certified as a quality site.


Behavioral targeting

It’s a technique used by online publishers and advertisers to increase the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns. It works on the idea of observation of user’s online behavior anonymously and then serving the most relevant advertisement based on their behavior.


Blogroll

Its a list of links in a blog to other blogs or web sites that the author of the blog loves to visit often.
